![]()
Say Something Happened Written by Alan Bennettdirected by Terry OakesSay Something Happened is set in Yorkshire in the early 1980s. The play is a bittersweet comedy which was originally written for television by Alan Bennett. Mam and Dad are in their late 60s and quite content with their uneventful lives. Enter June - an enthusiastic but inexperienced social worker. She means well, but she creates more problems than she solves...
Black Comedy Written by Peter Shafferdirected by Lawrence WatlingA clever and hilarious farce where light and dark are reversed; when the lights are ‘on’ all the audience sees is darkness, when the lights ‘off’, the audience will see the characters, behaving as if they were in a blackout. Carol and Brindsley, an engaged couple, have invited a millionaire to view Brindsley’s sculpture. However, the evening is wrecked when the fuse blows and several unexpected guests turn up on the doorstep!
