To be performed (alongside Black Comedy ) on 1st, 2nd, 8th & 9th October 2010 at Eynsford Village Hall at 7.45pm Read throughs - Thursday 10th June & Thursday 17th June 8pm in Eynsford Village Hall Auditions - Sunday 20th June at 2pm in Eynsford Village Hall Say Something Happened has three really interesting rounded characters. By the end of forty minutes the audience should have really grown to know and love all three. We see Mam and Dad as they contemplate the ageing process and their absent daughter but fail to come to terms with an earlier tragedy.
June is a well-meaning social worker but despite her enthusiasm for her new job, she is unable to be of any real help to Mam and Dad. The title is ironic since everyone realises that nothing significant ever does happen in their lives and that, apart from inevitable death, nor will anything ever be likely to happen!
A wonderfully amusing yet ultimately sad play Say Something Happened offers three great parts to perform. I'm delighted to announce that, following the auditions on 20th June. the following all star cast will be performing Say Something Happened Mam: Brenda Joyce Dad: John Harris June: Maddy Smedley Many thanks to everyone who attended the auditions for both plays. Regards Terry Oakes
