The Boxing Day Dog-Walk...

The morning was a little muddy from previous rain but the sun was out and the temperature perfect for a ramble. Yes, this was the annual Riverside Players Boxing Day Walk where the opportunity to walk off some of that turkey and Xmas pud whilst cathing up with friends is irresistable to at least 35 adults and children and I counted at least ten dogs who had a fab time. Phil Ward was in charge of the route this year and led us along the riverbank for a group photograph before climbing the slope opposite Lullingstone Castle and meandering across the park and golf course taking in some wonderful views along the way. This year had some hidden suprises though, as Phil had got up extra early and cunningly placed some curly-wurlies up trees and down burrows along the route which kept as all amused! The silly hat competition was won by little Harvey and an enjoyable morning was surprisingly rounded off with a few pints in the Bells!
